“FOR YOU”, the Indian Operations of JIDF (J International Development Fund), has chosen its official Logo in a recently concluded inter-institution Logo Design Competition “Colors and Scopes”.

“Colors and Scopes” was launched in May 2010, and attracted entries of children of age group 10 – 15 years from various NGO’s, Schools and individuals. Among the 15 final entries shortlisted the panel selected the individual entry of Shishir Kaul from Kashmir.

In a small ceremony held in the school, Shishir was presented with the Winner’s Trophy and Cheque of Rs. 10,000 (Rs. 2500 for final entry and Rs 7500 for winning entry) from Ms. Nisha Garewal, Regional Program Champion, “For You”.

Each of the other finalist entries received a cash prize of Rs. 2500 and the winning entry received an additional cash award of Rs 7500.

About the Winner

Shishir Kaul is a 12 years old child studying in a Government run school in Shrinagar. His family has been long involved with the carpet weaving. Shishir has interest in painting and wants to complete his management and take family business to new heights.

The entire fund of Rs. 45000 was contributed by “FOR YOU”.
